All 4 Dauphin II's in service with the Irish Air Corps belong to 301 Squadron "SAR Squadron", No.3 Operations Wing (formerly known as Helicopter Wing). 2 of the Dauhpin helicopters are navalised variants with deck harpoons and crash proof fuel tanks for operations from L.E. Eithne, however all 4 are equipped with winches and are available for SAR duties. All aircraft have the "St. Brendan the Navigator" badge applied to the cabin doors as this badge is the badge of SAR Squadron.
