Two CASA CN235-100MP Persuader Maritime Patrol Aircraft are in service with the Irish Air Corps. They entered service in December 1994 with 101 Squadron "Maritime Squadron", No. 1 Operations Wing, both unit badges are pictured below.

The main duty of the CASA is fisheries protection but they can be called upon to carry out top cover for SAR missions. They can also be used for transport missions and parachute drops.
