| It is a great pleasure to Welcome
you and wish you a ceád míle failte to the Saithill Millennium
Airshow 1999. Todays spectacular display will, we hope, reflect
the sense of occasion that befits the passing of a century of change and
now the re-birth of Salthill.
What better surroundings for a fabulous event than here today in a natural arena surrounded by the beautiful Burren and in the midst of a rejuvenated Salthill. I particularly wish to extend a special welcome to the number one display team in the world - The Red Arrows. Their presence at the Salthill Millennium Air Show demonstrates the magnitude and the highly regarded event it has become.
