before their slot time had to go to Donegal to rescue a diver with ther bends
and bring him to the hospital at Galway, When the came to the Airshow they
received a huge ovation from the crowd after the rescue.
Aer Lingus who sent the first aircraft that they used for
commercial operations on the Dublin to Bristol route, This aircraft was called
the IOLAR.

Due to bad weather at their slot times the Royal Air Force
Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft from
Kinloss in Scotland, The U.S.Navy P3
Orion maritime patrol aircraft from Iceland and the
Irish Army
Parachute display team from the Curragh were unable to perform but
hopefully we will have better weather next year on Sunday the 4th of July
