Sponsorship opportunities
are available for companies wishing to be associated with this key event
in the Galway tourism calendar. The Salthill Air Show is regarded as the single
biggest event in the West of Ireland. One of the few free air shows in
Europe, it has accumulated a loyal base of supporters and tremendous goodwill
over the past number of years. Around 100,000 spectators attend annually,
what has been described as ‘the equivalent of 4 days at the Galway
Races’.
In 2005, coverage of the Air Show featured on Sky News,
ITV, BBC, Discovery Channel, RTE and all Irish radio networks as well as
receiving extensive coverage in the local media in Galway city and county. The
award winning website at www.salthillairshow.com, listed as one of the top 100
in the world, continues to receive record hits and is listed in aviation
magazines worldwide. This positive media coverage cannot be quantified and is
extremely good PR for Salthill, for the West of Ireland and for your
company as a sponsor.
